Summer League success for Pine Hills u10s & u11s

Both of our Pythons teams (u10 and u11) have won bronze medals today at Perry Park by winning the 3rd place playoff games in their respective age groups on the final day of the 2009 Summer League.

Prior to the finals each of our teams had played plenty of great football to finish only 1 point off 2nd spot and so both our teams had well and truly earned the right to playoff for the bronze medal on the last day of the competition.

Our u10s (who lost only one game during the tournament) beat Brisbane Lions 4-2 in a hard fought match whilst our u11s also played brilliantly to beat Centenary Stormers 3-1 in an equally exciting match.

While the teams were both successful in gaining medals during the tournament, the experience gained by players in each team was invaluable as preparation for the 2010 regular season.
