The Pine Hills FC (PHFC) Metro Women’s program is a vibrant and inclusive community of social yet competitive players, ranging in age from their late teens through to their 50s. Our players come from a wide variety of football backgrounds — from complete beginners to former NPL players — united by a shared ethos of 100% effort, 100% support and 100% fun.

2025 Wrap Up

In 2025, PHFC Metro Women competed across three divisions (Div 3, Div 4 and Div 5), with our Div 3 players also providing valuable support to our FQPLW2 squads. The 2025 season also marked a major milestone with the introduction of our first-ever Masters Women’s team. Our O30 Division 2 side went on to claim the championship in their inaugural season — a fantastic achievement and a testament to the strength of the program.

2026 Competitions

In 2026, PHFC will field teams in the following leagues:

  • Div 2 North
  • Div 3 North
  • Div 5 North
  • Div 6 North
  • O30s Div 2

Pathway & Development

The Metro Women’s program plays a crucial role in our female football pathway, supporting players transitioning out of junior football and fostering a life-long love of the game. Teams are supported by dedicated coaches who focus on development, enjoyment and team culture.

Our Metro 2 squad serves as the development team for the FQPL3 Women’s program and trains alongside the FQPL squad, providing players with exposure to a higher-level training environment.

Training Schedule

  • O30s: Mondays, 7:15-8:45pm – Field 4
  • Div 3, Div 5 & Div 6: Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00pm – Field 1
  • Div 2 & FQPL: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:15-8:45pm – Field 1

Leadership & Growth

A significant part of the growth and success of the Metro program is thanks to Sam Mawdsley. Sam, along with her father Jim — one of our Metro coaches — joined PHFC from The Gap in 2022. In 2021, the club had just one Metro Women’s team; since then, the program has expanded significantly. Sam’s knowledge and passion for the Metro space at PHFC have been invaluable and she will continue to support our teams and players into the 2026 season.
